Alberta Female Junior Hockey League

 
The Alberta Junior Female Hockey Annual League Awards will be recognizing a variety of players and coaches for their performance and efforts throughout the 2022 - 2023 season. All players and coaches in the league have done an astounding job reaching their personal and professional goals throughout the season so far. With that being said, the wait is almost over and this season’s winners will be revealed at the end of the season.
 
The Alberta Junior Female Hockey League would like to thank everyone who was involved in the league this past season including players, coaches, volunteers and more!

Most Outstanding Player
The best player in the league as voted by the coaches of each AJFHL team.
Best Defenseman
The best defenseman in the league as voted by the coaches of each AJFHL team.
Best Forward
The best forward in the league as voted by the coaches of each AJFHL team.
Best Goaltender
The best goaltender in the league as voted by the coaches of each AJFHL team.
Rookie of the Year
The best rookie (within the first 2 years of playing eligibility based on their DOB in addition to their first year in the league) in the league as voted by the coaches of each AJFHL team.
 
Coach of the Year
The coach that contributed the most to their team’s success, and operated their team within Hockey Alberta & AJFHL guidelines and standards while providing a fun and supportive learning environment to players. Also, contributing to the community through the team.
Leadership Award
The player who has demonstrated exceptional leadership including recognizing the significant contributions they have made in creating a positive culture within their team as well as through their involvement in community services.
Paige Peach Heart & Soul Award
The player who best exemplifies the essence of Paige including recognizing the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.
 
Team of the Year
The team that has made a significant impact or achieved significant results over the past season through the support and development of female hockey in their local community.
Volunteer of the Year
A volunteer who has made outstanding contributions to the AJFHL and female hockey including a dedicated significant effort, time and support in growing and/or developing the game.
Scholastic Achievement Award
Players who are enrolled in full-time studies and achieved a min. 3.5 GPA for the school year. Given out at the end of the spring semester.
