FRIENDS OF ALBERTA JUNIOR HOCKEY SOCIETY

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2023-24 HOCKEY SEASON

The Friends of Alberta Junior Hockey Society will once again this season have 2 separate scholarships available to junior hockey players currently in this season, playing Junior A, B, or C for a team registered in Alberta. In addition, the applicant must be currently in the hockey year 2023/24, enrolled in a post-secondary program at a post-secondary school in Alberta.

The Alberta Junior Athletic award is a $2000.00 valued scholarship, in conjunction with Student Aid Alberta and the Friends Society. The application for this scholarship can be found on the Friends website www.friendsofajh.com and the form is to be printed off, completed in full, with a complete all semester's transcript, including the current fall 2023 transcript. This transcript is usually available from your school website in late December, or the first week in January. The application is to be mailed to: Friends of AJH Society P.O. Box 1294 Carstairs, AB TOM ONO. Application deadline for mailing is January 15, 2024. There will be 10 scholarships awarded in this program.

The Friends of Alberta Junior Hockey Society Scholarships will also be awarded this year. The application form can also be found on the friend's website at www.friendsofah.com and the application is filled in online. You must attach your complete transcript for all semesters, including the fall 2023 semester transcript, submit electronically online. Application deadline is January 16,2024. The value of the Friends scholarships is between $1500.00 and $2000.00 each. The number of Friends scholarships awarded varies each year, and we expect to award between 20 and 25 this year.

FIRST YEAR POST-SECONDARY STUDENTS NOTE. In addition to your fall 2023 transcript, please also attach your high school transcript.
